Nonsurgical Procedures for Weight Management

For many individuals, reaching their weight loss goals and maintaining them requires more than diet, exercise, or medication.

If you need help losing weight without having to undergo bariatric surgery, an endobariatric procedure may be the ideal solution for you.

Endobariatric procedures offer a safer, nonsurgical approach to weight management, helping you achieve lasting results without the need for invasive procedures. Our team is dedicated to providing you with expert guidance and a personalized plan that fits your unique needs. We want you to feel healthy and empowered—and we’re here to help you every step of the way.

Benefits of Endobariatric Procedures

  • No scars from incisions.
  • No hospital stay. It’s a same-day procedure that is done in 1 to 2 hours.
  • You go back to work in 2-3 days, not 2 weeks.
  • Recovery–about a week or less– is faster compared to bariatric surgery which can take from 4 to 6 weeks.

Weight loss with endobariatric procedures helps reduce the risk of weight-related illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, or sleep apnea.

Who may qualify for Endobariatric procedures?

A nonsurgical, endobariatric procedure could be a great option for you—especially if any of the following apply:

  • A BMI of 30-50
  • Diet and exercise alone aren’t enough
  • GLP-1 inhibitors aren’t working as well as you’d hoped
  • Not a candidate for bariatric surgery
  • Bariatric surgery is too invasive
  • Regained weight after weight-loss surgery, even with diet and exercise
  • Previous bariatric procedure didn’t work or had complications

Endobariatric Procedures

Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty

Endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG) is a nonsurgical procedure that helps reduce your stomach size by 80%. A thin, flexible tube (endoscope) is used to suture the stomach from the inside, reducing its size and limiting the amount of food it can hold. This helps you feel full sooner, making it easier to eat less and support long-term weight loss without surgery or incisions.

During an endoscopic balloon procedure, a soft, inflatable balloon is placed in your stomach and filled with saline using an endoscope—no incisions or permanent changes required. Over the next 6-8 months, the balloon helps you develop healthier eating habits while being supported by our dedicated medical team. When it’s time, the balloon is removed, but the healthy changes you’ve made can last a lifetime.

If you’ve had gastric bypass surgery but are struggling with weight regain, you’re not alone. An endoscopic gastric bypass revision can help restore the effectiveness of your original surgery. Over time, the stomach pouch or outlet may stretch, making it easier to eat more and leading to weight gain. This procedure tightens the connection between your stomach and small intestine using endoscopic suturing, helping you feel full sooner and get back on track.

An endoscopic sleeve revision, is a minimally invasive treatment designed to help restore the effects of a previous gastric sleeve surgery if you’ve experienced weight regain or stretching of your stomach over time. Using an endoscope, our doctor carefully tightens and reshapes your stomach without the need for incisions. This procedure helps you feel full sooner, supporting your weight loss journey once again. It’s a safe and effective option with a quicker recovery time, allowing you to get back to your routine with minimal downtime.

Before your endobariatric procedure, our team will be here to guide and support you every step of the way. We will conduct a thorough medical assessment and provide personalized dietary counseling and lifestyle recommendations to help you prepare. This may include nutritional guidance to build healthy eating habits, a psychological evaluation to ensure you feel ready for the changes ahead, medical tests to prioritize your safety and well-being, and optimization of your current medications.

After your procedure, our focus will be on your recovery, gradual dietary progression, and long-term weight management. We will be with you through regular follow-ups, helping you adhere to a structured meal plan, maintain proper vitamin supplementation, and receive the behavioral support you need. Your care plan will also include an exercise routine and lifestyle adjustments tailored to help you sustain your weight loss and overall health.
